KD Grace – Blindsided

Book two in the Medusa’s Consortium series.

In New York City, away from those she loves, living with the enigmatic vampire, Desiree Fielding, Susan Innes struggles to come to terms with life as a vampire whose body serves as the prison for a deadly demon.

When Reese Chambers arrives unexpectedly from England, desperate for her help, she discovers that Alonso Darlington, his lover and her maker, has been taken captive and Reese has been warned to tell no one but her. Before the two can make a plan, Susan receives her own message from a man calling himself just Cyrus. He not only holds her maker prisoner, but also her lover, the angel Michael. If she wishes to see either of them alive, she’ll come to him and not tell Magda Gardener, the woman they all work for and fear.

With no help coming from Magda or her Consortium, Susan and Reese must turn to the Guardian – the terrifying demon now imprisoned in her body. He alone can help them, but how can she possibly trust him after all he’s done?

~Excerpt~

It was a dark place where she found him, with walls so high only a small patch of starlight was visible above, but she was a vampire now. She didn’t need the light, and he, well he had never needed the light, had he? He stood naked with his back to her. He was broad of shoulder. There were white scars like latticework across muscles stretched taut over his shoulder blades. At first she thought they were from a whip, but as she drew nearer, she saw that they were more geometric in form, as though perhaps they were some sort of ancient ceremonial writing. She traced the shapes of them with the tips of her fingers, and his muscles rippled with the sensation. With a start she realized she’d never seen his body before.

“That is because I have none,” came his reply. “Only in dreams can I wear the flesh of my choosing.”

“You’ve worn flesh often enough. I would have thought it was always of your choosing,” she said, making no effort to hide her bitterness.

“It was not my own, though. That pleasure, I have never known.”

“Only in dreams, you say. Then this is a dream.”

“You know that it is.” He didn’t turn to face her but leaned toward her, and she slipped her arms around him and rested her head on the flat of his back. His belly tensed at the touch of her hands, and he caught his breath in a soft moan. “Touch is what I longed for most,” he said. “I thought the lack of it would drive me insane while I languished in my previous prison. But here, with you, I’m closer to touch than I would have thought possible. I do not mind it, you know. It is no hardship to be nestled inside you, close to your heart.”

She released him and took in their surroundings once more. “This is the place I’ve created for you?”

He pulled her arms back around him and sighed with contentment as she laid her head against him once more. “This is how I have decorated. The place you created for me was only the shape of myself, both boundless and infinitesimal. Oh, it did not matter. I could see through your eyes, feel through your flesh, even though it no longer lived as it once did, even though you never spoke to me. I hoped that someday you would.”

“And when I refuse, you come uninvited into my dreams?”

“All dreams are uninvited, Susan, and perhaps this time it is you who have come uninvited into my dream.”

She thought about that for a moment. Was it even possible to visit the dreams of a demon? Did demons even have dreams?

“Susan?”

“Yes?”

“If I had come to you more gently, if I had courted you and companioned you and been patient with you in the ways of your world, would you have loved me?”

“You never gave me that chance.”

Excerpt from What’s Past is Present by Gina Wynn

Connie always believed she’d know it was summer when the rain got warmer. And that meant summer was today.

She ran along the pavement, trying to dodge the drops as they fell in big splats on her bare arms like sloppy kisses, hunching as she attempted to shield the package of fish and chips she carried. The aroma of the hot food and warm paper tickled her nose, and she could almost taste the contents. Declan would be lucky if she arrived back with anything more than soggy, empty wrappings at this rate.

Picking up her pace as the smell of rain-splashed tarmac filled the air, she hurried the rest of the way back to the house. His house. She shook her head. It would take a while to see the house as anything but Mr Pearce’s place—an adjustment it felt like she’d only just made. Now, it was Dec’s. Just Dec’s. In her head, it’d only just stopped being his place where he lived with his dad. Glancing at the windows in hopes of glimpsing him inside as she walked past had been a habit for a very long time.

When her doorbell had rung the previous night, she hadn’t expected to find a very crumpled, travel-weary Dec in the dingy entryway to her bedsit. In fact, he was probably the last person she hoped to ever find gracing the stoop of what she not-quite-laughingly referred to as her hovel.

She’d barely had chance to move, or slam the door in his definitely unwelcome face, before he wrapped his arms around her, folding her into a perfect bear hug of long-ago familiarity. Caught off-guard and unprepared to see him, she rested her cheek against the soft brushed cotton of his shirt, listening to his heartbeat, as his fingers splayed over her cheek, and she pretended not to notice the rough gasps of air he drew or the silent tears landing in her hair. Her chest hollowed, her heart breaking both for him and over him anew, and a lone teardrop of her own slid noiselessly down her nose.

Of course, she’d promised to help him today because she could never deny him anything, even though she’d spent the past five years regretting him. Getting over him. The bastard. She’d never stopped loving him.

Five years had crept by in a lazy blink of his beautiful brown eyes. And now, in the place where she’d spent so many of her stolen days and illicit nights, she could almost imagine the clocks had rolled back and he’d never left. She’d certainly wished for it enough times.

Short of pressing the doorbell with her nose she had no way to attract his attention, so she pushed on the door handle with her elbow and shouldered her way through the unlocked door into the narrow hall. The same worn carpet, lending a musty smell to the house these days, ran straight ahead to the kitchen and up the stairs. She walked towards the kitchen, ignoring the grime of a house where the owner hadn’t cared as much for the fabric of the building over the years as he did the family members within it. Framed portraits and holiday snapshots of Dec and his dad lined the walls, but she brushed past each of them. She could describe the position and content of each—perhaps accurately pinpoint the date of a few if she appeared on Mastermind with ‘The early life of Declan Pearce’ as her specialist subject.

But as she turned to push through the door into the next room, she caught sight of some new pictures and swallowed down a mixture of envy and bitterness at the juxtaposition of Declan’s life before and after—the part where he’d moved on without her. Even after Dec left, his dad must have continued to hang pictures of him because there he was, framed with as much care as anything that gone before.

Dec in an office of black leather and gleaming chrome—a vista of New York spread like a map through the huge picture window behind him; Dec beside an aeroplane bearing his name—sunglasses on, wide grin in place, and a suit that must have been expensive but one he wore without effort and made it look good.

Dec behind a podium.

Dec in an apartment so swish she’d have believed someone had Photoshopped him into it if she didn’t know better.

Dec… Dec… Dec. Just him.

Her gaze skimmed the remainder of the newest frames, and her thoughts stalled. She leant closer. No. They weren’t photographs. They were pictures that had been cut with great care from glossy magazines and newspaper articles, as if someone was reduced to simply scrapbooking a loved one’s life rather than being part of it.

Regret flashed through her. It didn’t show the future—the life together— she and Dec had planned in all those late nights that somehow turned into seeing the dawn. If she was honest, it didn’t show any sort of life she’d ever imagined for anyone she knew, let alone someone she loved. And especially not for Dec. She’d always believed they were the same type of person. But maybe not now she could see his life through someone else’s eyes.

She shrugged, trying to throw off her sudden melancholy. The fish and chips wouldn’t eat themselves.

I was Born and raised in NYC…The Capital of the World. As a child, I loved to draw. I spent most of my time drawing instead of playing with dolls. As I got a little older, around ten, I started to write cartoons and plays to act out with my friends on the block. Then, it all stopped. I continued to draw, tried out for a specialized Art High School, but wasn’t accepted. So my dreams of becoming an artist fizzled away. My life took a totally different path and writing just wasn’t a part of it, unless I had to write a paper for College. Marriage, two kids and three college degrees later, I decided to start writing in 2007 while taking online classes for my next degree. Then, I stopped writing… Life took over. 🙁 (Sounds like my next suspense book…LOL!)

To my surprise, I found the book one day, hidden away in the closet and started writing again in 2014. With a little push from my best friend, I finished the book in 2015 and took a chance on self-publishing it. I self-published in August 2015 and…here I am!

Today, I am married and reside in upstate New York in the sticks with my husband and teenage sons! This author life is a hidden treasure. The second part of my life has just begun…Follow me. I would love to share everything I do with you. Let’s take this journey together. 🙂

Lily Harlem- Rule Breaker

rulebreaker_800

Locks, keys and prison bars can’t contain a love that’s meant to roam wild and free, but when that love is let loose, will Lacey be able to handle what’s heading her way?

Rules are meant to protect the innocent and keep danger at bay—except for me. The lines blur, and it all started when I met the ultimate bad boy. But is he? Miller Davenport might be big, bad and brimming with sin but he’s confessed his crimes and for ten years he’s served his time and walked the line.

Everyone deserves a second chance, right? And as his nurse—the one person who understands him—I can’t help but count the days till we can be together properly, without guards watching over us and without every look and word we share censored.

When that day comes, though, will our desire for each other explode and take me to the new heights he’s promised? And if so, how will I survive such intensity?

One thing is for sure. With Miller I’ll be whisked up in a whirlwind of his dark energy and a tornado of his lust, and likely taken to the very edge of what I can handle. I can’t help a few nerves, though, as release day approaches, because if it all comes crashing down, who can I depend on when I’ve ridden into the sunset with a man who’s broken all the rules? Will I be saved or will I have pushed everyone and everything too far?

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of exhibitionism, anal play and light restraint.

Heroines Who Live On The Edge

By Lily Harlem

Thank you for inviting me, it’s a pleasure to be here with my new novel Rule Breaker. Over the years I’ve chatted many times about ‘cardboard cut-out’ heroines. There’s no doubt about it, they sell books. Why? Because many readers enjoy a female lead who is sweet, sensible and makes the right decisions. This is because they can identify with them, they’re predictable, their moral compass is on the right track and any mistakes they make are quickly recognized and corrected – in other words ‘they do the right thing’!

I’m not saying I don’t have any heroines like this, I do, and the reason for that is as a writer I can identify with them too (I like to think my moral compass is on the right track!). But occasionally I get a plot bunny, an idea, a character in my head who is off the rails, only wants to do what’s right for ‘her’ and is prepared to take risks, live a life less ordinary.

When this plot idea happens it’s impossible to ignore and the story grows, the female lead dictating where it goes. My latest novel Rule Breaker is an example of this. Lacey is a prison nurse, something one of my friends did for many years, and is lusting after one of the in-mates who’s coming to the end of his sentence after serving time for armed robbery.

Which isn’t so bad in itself, Miller has paid the price for his crime, he’s been ‘reformed’ in the eyes of The Crown and the Judicial system. There is no reason why he can’t rebuild his life – but would you be the one to get involved with him? Would you take that risk? That’s where it’s interesting, he’s a bad ass, he’s rough and tough, and yes, many women find this type of hero alluring, irresistible, especially when combined with devastating good looks. Put it in a novel and it’s perfectly safe to indulge in the bad boy fantasy.

Lacey doesn’t stop there though and flirts with what’s ethically acceptable in other ways. For example she’s got a very intimate relationship with her cousin, Shay (they’re cousins by marriage). He’s the opposite to Miller, a lawyer, and has fed her lust as she’s bided her time waiting for the man she believes she fallen in love with to be free. Shay knows nothing about Miller, she keeps him completely the dark.

So how will a (perceived) incestuous relationship sit with readers and of course reviewers? I could have made Shay her real cousin, that would have been legal and still made Rule Breaker publishable, but I didn’t, I was happy for there to be no blood ties. What’s more daring here is how Lacey uses Shay. He’s smart and kind, he wears his heart on his sleeve. She keeps him exactly where she wants him, in many ways, using his affection for her like a shield. I’m not saying she doesn’t love him, she does, but not the way he loves her.

A heroine who emotionally hurts someone is less likable than the sweet, cardboard cut-out female lead, I agree. But in life, people get hurt. That’s a truth. And there’s always someone doing the hurting (intentionally or not) so why not put that in a story?

People also have sex with people they shouldn’t, fall in love with the wrong person, get caught up in crimes the way dominos fall – one thing leading to another – and stir up a load of trouble without meaning to.

I hope readers will embrace heroines who break the mold, step out of their comfort zone and jump into stories that take them on a wild ride. Books aren’t meant to all be the same, nor are the characters which in turn means they’re not supposed to make you feel the same. But feeling differently about a new heroine doesn’t make her bad, likewise if she doesn’t do the things you’d do, it doesn’t make them wrong as long as you understand why she’s doing them. Seek out a new style of female lead, dare to be different and lose yourself in plots that are unique and unpredictable, it’s the way forward…

Rule Breaker is available from the publisher, Amazon and all other good ebook retailers. You can also read a sample HERE.

Thank you for reading, feel free to leave your thoughts I’ll be checking in to read them.

dhp

Welcome to William’s Point, a small town nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains. On the surface, it is the image of small town Americana. Quaint cobblestone streets are lined with ancient wrought iron fences and lush lawns. Landmarks like the General Armand house entice you sit on their wide cool verandas and enjoy a glass of iced tea. Peel back the exterior, however, and you will find the black blood that throbs just beneath it’s surface. Here, hidden in the shaded hollows and forgotten cemeteries lurk the creatures of the wilds. They do not fear death, they stalk it. What better place to call home? After all, William’s Point is itself a child of blood, born into it from the first day man sat foot upon it.  This is where the real monsters come to play.

Her prison became his hell.

He pinned her back up against the wall, anger blazing in his eyes. The corner of his lip curled and his forehead wrinkled. “The spoiled little rich girl wants attention by trashing her room.” He yanked down his zipper. “Well, now she’s got it.”

Jack was up in her face when Beverly’s hands slapped against the sheet rock, seeking purchase as he kneed open her legs. Her feet left the floor and she braced her legs around his waist when he forced his thighs underneath hers. He slammed his cock in her slit, the force making her pussy burn and spasm from the delectable shock.

The muscles in Jack’s arms corded as he reached around and spread her ass cheeks as wide as they would go. Beverly’s eyes nearly rolled to the back of her head with the chafing of his jeans against her, and his denim covered skin on hers fired new pleasure receptors to life. She never considered that area an erogenous zone.

Beverly had never considered a lot of things until Jack introduced them.

Her eyes jarred in their sockets and her spine jolted with the furious pounding of her body against his thighs. The dry friction rubbing against her clit and Jack’s heated breath was a cocktail strong enough to push her across the finish line. His sun browned skin was reddening, pulling taut over his cheekbones. Beverly wondered if she looked as crazy as he did. She laid her head against her shoulders and dug her fingernails into his shoulders, as he wrecked her in the way she always wanted.

Time to man up.
The creak of the stairs echoed his uneasiness as he climbed to the second floor. As open as the first, it would easily transform into a secondary dining room or banquet area. At the moment, however, it was serving as storage. He could hear Peyton rummaging through something around the corner from a huge cabinet that blocked his view. Stealing himself against the chaos racing through his brain, he stepped into the room.
And stood there, dumbfounded all over again, barely resisting the urge to glare down at his crotch with a what the fuck are you thinking? It seemed nothing had changed—if he was in Peyton’s presence, he was hard and hurting; that’s all there was to it.
“You look just the way I remember you,” he finally said.
Peyton muttered something that sounded like “At least you remember,” but he couldn’t be sure. When the silence threatened to crack his teeth, he was gritting them so hard, he tried again. “Looks like the place needs work. When you planning to open?”
Stiff spine, no more muttering, but the box she was kneeling beside was getting a cavity search like nobody’s business. Gabe switched to his don’t-fuck-with-me cop tone. “What are you doing here, Peyton?”
Peyton didn’t even flinch. This was definitely not the girl he’d known in Memphis. “That much should be obvious,” she said. Metal clinked a sharp accompaniment to her words.
“In Claywater?” He stepped forward carefully, fighting the instinct to pick her up and shake her. She always had ripped his control to tiny fucking shreds. “Why here? Why now? You’re a long way from Memphis, baby.”
Now that got a reaction. Peyton shot up and around, her expression and her tone both dripping venom. “Don’t you ever call me that again.” She sucked in a deep breath, and he could almost hear the rattle of emotion in her chest. What was it? Anger, certainly, but then what—pain, like him? Disgust? At him or herself? Because unless he missed his guess, there was hunger in the mix, a hunger that matched his own.
“I don’t have to explain anything to you, Gabe. You lost that right a long time ago, if you ever had it to begin with, so don’t bother questioning me. I have as much right to be here as anyone else.”
“Stalking me, baby?” This time he used the word deliberately. The need in his gut felt like a bomb just waiting for the fuse to burn down. He had to find out why she was here and then get out before it was too late.
The raspberry Peyton blew filled the air between them with her scorn. “Sure, I’m following you. Right. Like I knew where you lived after you walked out on me without so much as a good-bye note.” Her body tightened, her face going blank of all emotion, all reaction, and her control—such a sharp contrast to the way he felt right now—shook him to the core. She jerked her head in a terse negative. “No, Gabe. This is my place. It’s time for you to leave.” A tiny smile curled the corner of her mouth. “Again.”
Too late had been reached. His body responded to her challenge without thought, without restraint. He stalked her, silent and deadly, his muscles readying for battle—and looking forward to every minute of it, if his erection was any indication. Each step had Peyton backing away in equal measure, although she didn’t give him the satisfaction of fear. Or words. Only the movement of her body spoke.

But the worlds and characters that swirled through my mind just wouldn’t go away, and at a particularly difficult time in my life, I picked up pen and paper (or laptop) and tried to release some of that difficulty onto the page. I’ve been writing ever since. Now I’m a member of Romance Writers of America, run an accountability blog to help writers reach their goals, and am pursuing publication with the same passion I feel for writing.

Nothing pleases me more than sharing the stories of my heart with you, the reader, and I hope, in some small way, these stories will touch your heart too.

“Oh God, Noah.” Kali pushed the half-eaten meal away. He pushed it back in front of her. “I can’t eat.”
“All of your clothes are falling off of you. You were kept for over six weeks. You need to eat.” He looked at her and saw her wince and kicked himself for bringing up her captivity. He suddenly felt echoes of her pain in her wrists, ankles and head, as she felt residual pain.
“Does it really matter to you? How I look, I mean?”
She was kidding right? He got up and walked around to her side of the booth, and wrapped an arm around her. She laid her head on his shoulder, it seemed his Kali liked sitting side by side.
“I’m sorry I brought up everything, now please, let’s finish our meal, this food is fabulous, just like you promised.”
“Really I can’t eat.”
Noah closed his eyes and as he concentrated his stomach tied up in knots. He had an idea because he was still pretty damn hungry.
“Kali, put your hand on my stomach.” She looked at him in confusion. He drew her hand to his stomach, and placed his over it. “Close your eyes, and feel what I’m feeling.” Taking a deep breath, he inhaled the aroma of the ginger, beef and noodles in front of him. Her eyes popped open.
“You’re hungry. Really hungry.”
“Yeah, but now how are you feeling? Is your tummy still tied up in knots?”
“No,” she looked at him in wonder, and he couldn’t help himself. He dipped in for a slow kiss. He wasn’t just hungry for food. He pulled away and she giggled.
“What?”
“You look cute wearing lipstick.” In for a penny, in for a pound, he leaned in again, his hand cupping the back of her neck, angling her head just so. He tasted the flavor of the food, but it was overpowered by the sweetness of Kali. He could die a happy man, immersed in the arms of this woman. Their stomachs growled in unison and they broke away laughing.
“I guess this empathic thing works both ways,” Kali said as she dabbed the lipstick off his lips.
“It does work both ways. Haven’t you noticed how in tune you are to my emotions?” She didn’t think she could feel him the way he felt her?
“Yeah, but it’s just your emotions, I didn’t think I could feel you physically, like you feel my headaches and things.”
“Beautiful, what about in bed? Haven’t you noticed how we have this feedback loop that spirals higher and higher?”
She bowed her head and mumbled. “I thought it was normal.”
“You mean that’s how it always is for you?” Noah’s voice rose and he couldn’t stop the feeling of indignation coloring his voice.
“Lower your voice. No. It’s never happened before. But I’ve never experienced, well you know. With a man. I mean, of course I’ve had. But never with a man. You mean that’s not how it always is?” She looked up at him in wonder. “Because every time we make love it’s better than the last time, and the first time was the most beautiful experience of my life. I was dying thinking you feel it every time you’re with another woman.”
“Oh Kali, it’s never happened for me either.” His fingers massaged her scalp, luxuriating in the warm feel of her satiny hair. “It’s you. It’s us.”
She dropped her head to his chest. “Oh.”
“Now we cleared that up, eat your food.” The rest of the meal was torture. Even though her lips were now devoid of paint, the slick pink color still had him thinking of her engulfing his cock. Thank God he was wearing jeans and not slacks. But maybe not, the zipper was biting so deeply into his engorged flesh he might end up with a permanent scar.

“Stop.”
Thiago continued.
Seth grabbed Thiago’s forearm in a punishing grip, seconds away from breaking it.
“Let go,” Thiago said, through gritted teeth. “You forget yourself.”
“Until I say differently, she’s my property, or I leave now.” Seth was truly scared. Labado was a murdering sadist, and he might have pushed him too far, but he couldn’t ignore it for one more second. Labado stared at him and slowly let go of the whimpering girl. She dropped to the floor. Labado cradled his arm and toed her with his shoe.
“Is she the one?”
“How would I know, I haven’t seen the others,” Seth said in a calm voice.
“Anton, bring in the next sample,” he called out. Four more young women were brought in for Seth to view, all slightly older than the girl who remained silently crying on the floor at his feet.
After they all were standing in a row, Leslie turned to him. “Well?”
“And the one in the picture?”
“She’s not as docile, and she has bruising.”
Seth gave her a toothy smile. “So she has spirit and marks up well. Too bad you didn’t bring her.” He set down his drink and got up.
“She’s in the hall. Bring her in Anton.” He continued to stand. This was it, his palms were damp, and a bead of sweat trickled down his neck. The bastard was gripping Annie tightly by the scruff of her neck, forcing her into the room. Her face was mostly hidden by her hair. It was a trick he had seen her use many times to assess a situation without people being aware of what she was doing. Then like a laser, she saw the girl lying on the ground and she yanked out of the man’s hold and was on her knees in front of Labado, cradling the girl’s head in her lap.
“Oh, I like a woman who knows her place,” Labado crooned.
Why didn’t I break the fucker’s arm?
“What did you do to her?” Annie demanded, her head turning to Labado, as Leslie watched Seth. He looked at her, schooling his features, so he could survive the contempt he would see in his lover’s, his love’s face. But while her face was hard and cold her eyes held nothing but joy.
“She is not your business.”
“I’m making her my business.”
“You’re in no position to negotiate. You’re a captive. All but naked on the floor. Where is your leverage?”
“Apparently I’m a commodity of some value, or I wouldn’t be here.” She tossed her hair and looked at Labado. “I’m of value to him. I have leverage.” She helped the girl off the floor, murmuring softly to her. God, she was magnificent. He kept his face flat and raised an eyebrow at Labado.
“You seem taken.” Seth said stating the obvious.
“You don’t. I thought spirit and easily marked were two of your criteria.” Labado’s eyes followed Annie as she took the young girl to a sofa. Anton followed her with an amused expression on his face.
“I find myself drawn to both of them. They both have,” Seth paused, “certain qualities.”
“I am in complete agreement. I will take whichever one you pass up.”
“But you told me the other day your current mistress was to your liking.”
“A man can always make room for two women.” Labado licked his lips as he looked at the women/girls on the sofa. Seth looked at the four other women in the room. He wished a man could always make room for six. God, they had to stop this tonight, but it wasn’t going to happen. Could Kota and Nate somehow keep track of these four?
“I’m sorry. I really can’t decide. If you’re intent on taking one of these two, I’m going to have to go through with the divorce.” Labado pulled his gaze away from the sofa and stared incredulously at Seth.
“You are talking crazy. You have what you want. You just said so.”
“But you are intent on taking what I truly desire.” He watched as the sick bastard processed what he was saying. Leslie laughed.
“Well aren’t you just full of surprises. First you didn’t want any of the women I had to offer, and now you want two. But I thought you liked spirit, and one seems like a bit of a victim.”
“I like the dichotomy. But the point is moot.” He looked at the sofa and couldn’t see Annie’s face, her hair hid everything. He knew exactly what was going on in her mind, in her soul, because it mirrored his own heart. He had to pull this off.

Caitlyn O’Leary was raised in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. She has been an avid reader. Her earliest creative writing endeavors consisted of “ghost writing” exercises in which she pretended to be her younger brothers and sisters when she did their homework assignments before they turned them in as their own.
Years in corporate America honed her ability to manipulate words by day, and at night she read everything she could get her hands on, including many, romances!
Happily married to her long, tall Texan and living in Southern California, Caitlyn has finally found the time to write very steamy happily-every-afters for Siren/Bookstrand.
She has just started writing the Found series. It’s a bit Paranormal, a bit Sci-Fi and 100% Action/Adventure. The characters have special abilities, that make them targets.

Jenna Fox- Sealed in Blood

**Contains a possessive alpha male, sexually graphic descriptions and is intended for readers aged 18 and up**

What Happens in Vegas Sometimes Follows You Home

Determined to forget her ex-fiancé and gather the remains of her betrayed heart, Charisma Claiborne scrapes together her hard earned pennies for a dream trip to Las Vegas.  On her first day in town, she has an accident with an eccentric casino owner.  Enthralled by his good looks, she falls into his bed for a steamy one night stand.

But Hunt Blackwater is more than a mysterious, gorgeous casino owner.  Rumors of a Native American curse and a string of inexplicable deaths follow in his wake – but the most terrifying is his ability to reach right into Charisma’s soul and make her want the things she’s convinced herself she can do without.

Unwilling to get in over her head, Charisma cuts her trip short and returns home, but trouble seems to follow her.  With remembered whispers of curses in her ears and the lingering smell of death in her nose, she wonders if she is his next victim.  Things go from puzzling to harrowing as Charisma comes face to face with the greatest betrayal she could ever imagine

Teaser Sealed in Blood (1)

Charisma swallowed hard, standing in front of the door to Hunt’s suite. What lay behind it? It was like he was opening the lid to Pandora’s Box.
Hunt held her gaze, and took her purse when the door clicked open. “I like being in charge of things. You won’t have a problem with that.”
The carnal rumble in his voice rekindled a fire deep inside of her that Charisma had thought was long dead. She’d become so tired of the struggle to keep her life together; tired of trying to take care of herself and every situation in her single life. How liberating it would be to surrender control to this man.
“I don’t have a problem with it.”
Hunt held out his hand. “You mentioned a shower.”
He led her down a hallway to the bathroom. Charisma was so nervous she hardly noticed the large, jetted tub. Hunt took off his suit jacket and laid it on the vanity, opened the glass door to the shower and turned on the water. He leaned in, relaxing his posture as he maintained firm eye contact. “I think I’ll have you begin by undressing me.”
The shower seemed to get louder with each passing second. Charisma’s fingers shook as she struggled to undo each button on his shirt. What was she doing? She’d never been in a shower with a man before, nor had she undressed a man.
He pulled the shirt off, throwing it on the double vanity. Naked, he would be even more intimidating than, and as gorgeous, as a god. His tanned chest was sprinkled with dark hair atop rippling abs. Charisma’s pulse thudded inside her neck. I’m really going to do this.
“Now. Take off your clothes. All of them.” His voice was sharp.
Charisma couldn’t look him in the eye, as she reached around to unzip her skirt. She allowed it to fall to the floor, but hesitated to unbutton her blouse.
“The shirt comes off too.”
Her fingers finally completed the task. She stood, motionless, awaiting a look of disapproval on Hunt’s face as his eyes zeroed in on her curvaceous hips.
“I don’t think you’re finished. I still see panties and a bra.”
Charisma’s face was flaming. She reached around to unhook her bra, biting down on her bottom lip as her traitorous nipples told of her arousal.
Hunt’s lips parted, and he lowered his voice. “I can see your embarrassment. You’re beautiful.” She relaxed slightly as he ran his hand over her hip. “You’re not to be ashamed. Understood?”
Charisma nodded, looking at the floor.
“Miss Claiborne, look at me.”
His eyes glittered as they roamed over her. Her body responded in a warm flood, as he murmured his approval.
Charisma trembled with desire, keenly aware of her pulse, as Hunt unzipped his pants, freeing his erection. Her muscles clenched at his size.
“You’re still blushing. You see how hard I am for you, and you will not be ashamed.”
Steam escaped as he opened the shower door. She stepped into the hot stream, Hunt behind her.
“Turn and face me. On your knees.”

DH Saving Lady J image

Jamie is a woman confused about who she is sexually. Her submissive side is constantly at war with her mouth.

She becomes involved with Julian, a man with secrets of his own, who becomes her slave.

When two dominant men enter Jamie and Julian’s life, Jamie’s world begins to unravel. As she attempts to help Julian fight his battles, she unwitting puts herself in harms way.

In the author’s own words:

Jamie’s had always thought she was a “freak” and hid away. She found herself sexually and unfortunately in the lifestyle there are abusive and frightening situations, as in any “vanilla” life.

I wanted to show growth within two of the main characters over this series. The book is intended to have a second one to explain Julian’s dark past and hopefully a bright future for Jamie.

A majority of this book is based on non-fiction, real characters and a heck of a lot of naughty dreams. Julian is a real person and even Raynth is a real person that I speak with and get advice from. All names are changed and I have never met these people, sadly.

This book is a dark erotic thriller. It is for readers 18+ and includes, but not limited to: force, mindfuckery, anal, spanking and spanking implements, non-con/dub-con, suspenseful elements, pegging, interracial sex, cuckold-themes, etc.

All Romance / Smashwords / Bookstrand / DHP

Excerpt

“Julian, I will call you pet or slave or any other pet names I might come up with.”

He nodded and looked up at me.

“I will collar you with a house collar when I see fit. You are my submissive. I don’t want you to be confused about that. I want to find a collar that suits you. I don’t want you doing bad behavior on purpose. You are free to speak to me, but not tell me what to do. Do you understand?”

He nodded.

“Yes or no?”

“Yes.”

“Repeat after me: “Lady J owns my cock. I am not to touch it unless I need to for going pee. In fact from now on I will sit to pee, because I lost that privilege today”.”

He repeated me, while gritting his teeth.

“Lady J owns me. I am my own person who can take care of himself and will take care of her needs and her home,” I continued.

He repeated this as well.

“Anything you wish to add?”

“Please accept my apology for scaring you earlier. I run. It clears my head. I am not ready to tell you about last night. I’m sorry.” He looked remorsefully at me.

“I accept and it’s alright Julian. We have plenty of time to get to know each other. However, if the gun scares you or—”

His hand touched my thigh. “Please, don’t worry about me.”

I nodded. “Don’t interrupt.”

He smirked and looked down as if he was sorry.

“I am going to spank you now for your punishment. Do you understand?”

“Yes,” he whispered.

“Get on the bed.

I knelt beside him and watched his butt flex in anticipation. I remembered the first time I spanked Ken fondly and grinned. I started slowly and worked up a pace. His white cheeks were starting to look pink. Listening to his gasps and watching him clench the sheets and squeeze his cheeks together turned me on. Despite the stinging beginning in my hand I continued on. I didn’t want to rub it. This was punishment after all.

“Please!” he called out.

“You will be silent and you are done when I say you are,” I said sternly. I aimed for the tops of his thighs and now had him spread his legs. He began to pant, as  I came closer and closer to his balls. “I think that is good for now. Round two in a bit. Follow me to my room. I have work to do and you will stand where I can see you.”

“Yes, Lady J.” He groaned as he stood.

I watched him from the corner of my eye, as  he wobbled out of the room. I had him stand against a wall in my bedroom. I just wanted to torture him. He had a fine ass and I was horny. I sat in my seat and swiveled watching him impatiently stand there. He leaned on his forearms, pressing his head against them. I laughed internally. This was going to be fun.

July 2, 2015

When Quinn, the Supreme Alpha of all the Nine Territories first sees a young man in the arena, he is struck by his beauty and by the fact that despite his chains, he’s barely contained. Quinn recognizes him almost at once as the human who led an assassination attempt on him just weeks before, yet when he tries to take him into custody, he’s shocked to find the human is his fated mate. He has only one option to keep the council from executing the young man for his crimes—to make an example of Aaron, and to debase and degrade him as his love slave so that none of Aaron’s followers will celebrate him as a martyr or a hero.

Aaron is on a quest to find his brother, separated from him during the plague that devastated the population, killing seventy percent of all the humans on the planet. When he gets word that his brother is among the rebels, he joins them too, hoping to find him. Instead he gets caught up in a failed assassination attempt on the Supreme Alpha, a strong, powerful wolf shifter who now has Aaron right where he wants him–at his mercy.

Despite his growing attraction to Aaron, Quinn has to try to keep his heart from getting too involved, and when another assassination plot is uncovered, Quinn has to make a difficult decision. He must put Aaron aside despite his feelings for him and imprison him, even though the mating bond between them means Aaron will suffer and die without Quinn. And when Aaron disappears and word gets back to Quinn that he’s dying, he has to take a leap of faith to bring him home and back to Quinn’s bed where he belongs.

Victoria Sue

Victoria Sue has loved books for as long as she can remember. Books were always what pocket money went on and what usually Father Christmas brought. When she ran out of her kids’ adventure stories, she would go raid her mom’s. By the age of eight she was devouring classics like Little Women, and fell in love with love stories.
She’s still in love with them. Any size, any shape, any creature – love is love, no matter what it says on the box. In fact if her heroes and heroines don’t always fit neatly into a box, she loves them even more. She’s worked as a mom, a nurse, and a teaching assistant.
Victoria decided to go on an adventure with her family in 2010 and moved from England to America and now lives in Florida.
Last year, she thought it was time to stop just reading love stories and start writing them.
